1. Remove the solution tank from the side of the device, then remove the cap.

2. Pour HOOVER cleaning solution into the solution fill line.

4. Uncoil the hose from the appliance. Choose your preferred tool and make sure it is securely attached.

Before you start cleaning

  • Only use your Hoover Upholstery & Spot Cleaner if the upholstery fabric is marked with a "W" (for wet clean) or "S/W" (for wet or dry clean). Do not clean fabrics labeled "S" only (solvent/dry clean).
  • Test for color fastness in a small, inconspicuous area. Gently wipe the surface with a damp white cloth. Wait ten minutes and check with a white paper towel to see if the color has faded or run.

NOTE: To prevent staining, use plastic wrap or aluminum foil to protect wood or metal surfaces from potential water splashes.

NOTE: To prevent damage to hardwood floors under rugs or carpeting, place impervious material (such as plastic) under it before cleaning.

OPERATION

CAUTION: Do not clear exits. After use, water drips from the tool and may form puddles. To prevent damage to wood and laminate floors and to avoid a potential slipping hazard after use

  • (a) Do not place the product on wood or laminate surfaces or move it on a hard surface and
  • (b) Place the device on an absorbent material (for example, a towel) to absorb the droplets.

1. Plug the power cord into a power outlet. Press the red button on top of the device to turn it on.

2. Spray a generous amount of cleaning solution onto the stained area by squeezing the trigger on the back of the tool and rubbing the stain in a back and forth motion.

3. To remove the stain, vacuum up the dirt and cleaning solution by pressing down on the front of the cleaning tool and pulling it toward you. Repeat as necessary.

IMPORTANT: Empty the recovery tank when you hear an audible change. Make sure the tank is secure before cleaning it.

  • For best results, pre-treat stains with a HOOVER Stain Treatment (see HOOVER Cleaning Solution instructions) to loosen and remove even the toughest stains. Spread a generous amount of Pre-Treatment Spray over blemishes, blemishes, or high-traffic areas
  • Always follow the specific directions on the solution label. Wait 5-10 minutes before using the machine.

STORAGE: Wrap cord around hooks for convenient storage. Connect the connector end to the cable.

HOW TO CLEAN THE RECOVERY TANK

1. Press the TANK RELEASE button, then lift the lid to drain and rinse. Clean water will help remove dirt and debris from the tank. Allow to air dry before reinstalling.

2. Rinse the hand tool under the faucet. Remove the mouthpiece cap by pressing the release button at the top.

3. Remove the insert and rinse under the tap.

4. Access the cleaning hose by removing the three screws on the bottom of the carpet cleaner. After removal, remove the piece and rinse.

HEAT PROTECTION

A thermal protector has been built into your vacuum to protect it from overheating. When the thermal protection is activated, the vacuum cleaner stops working. In this case, proceed as follows:

  1. Turn off the vacuum and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Empty the dirty water tank.
  3. Check for obstacles. Remove obstacles, if any.
  4. If the wipers are off and the motor has cooled down for 30 minutes, the thermal protection will deactivate and wiping can continue.

If the overheat protection still activates after following the steps above. Your vacuum needs service.

LUBRICATION: The motor is equipped with properly lubricated bearings throughout its useful life. Adding lubricant can cause damage. Do not put lubricant on motor bearings.

The cleaner doesn't work.

Cause:
